This picture was made looking at Sofia the First, but it doesn't quite look like her. The client wanted the Princess dressed in pink but in Sofia's dress design. So This is what we came up with.

OK! So I haven't posted any cakes here in a while. It's either I have been forming busy or I felt we haven't made many post worthy cakes for some time now. Mostly repitition of designs.
Excuses, excuses.
Anyway we are here now.Sorry about the long silence and Happy new year to you too. It's going to be a good year for all of us.
These are some of the cakes we made this yuletide and we thought to share.

Not A wedding Cake
Though it looks like one, it definitely is not a wedding cake. At least not in Naija here. Am yet to meet a Nigerian couple that will settle for just two tiers on their white wedding.
The cake was for my church and the design is one that I did once and enjoyed doing, but I didn't get a chance to snap it. So you are looking at my second chance at this.

Iron Man Cake
At first, my hubby's nephew wanted an edible picture of himself on a cake for his birthday, then he changed his mind and I was glad because am not really a fan of edible colored photocopy. I have nothing against them and will use them to complement my work if I have to, but I just don't consider them artistic enough. I like my art hand made.
Okay, so back to the gist. Josh decided he wanted an iron man cake and herein lied the challenge. I wasn't sure it could be pulled off, but thanks be unto God, after much research and brainstorming this cake surfaced and I was very pleased with the outcome- A delicious vanilla sponge covered in fondant with an edible iron man topper bursting out of it. Victory !

Converse Shoe Cake
If this edible shoe was real, it will fit my hubby perfectly. The template was gotten from his own shoe, but the cake was not for him though. It was fun making this cake and the best part was the celebrant's reaction to it. It made all the effort worth it.
Looking forward to making more of such so keep the orders coming in.
