Cake Balls! The solution to Left Over Cakes .

If you ever have left over cakes and do not know what to do with them or you have had too many cakes to eat till you are fed up and you still have a lot left, do not even think of throwing them away because I have the perfect idea for making them appetizing once again.

Have you ever heard of these delightful things called cake balls? That is where cake pops come from.Cake pops have become quiet a rave recently.They are cake balls on pop-sticks but we will not talk about them in these post.Here we are sticking to the balls mostly because here in Nigeria,you cannot easily pull off some of the cake pop recipes.So I am bringing you what my Nigerian sisters can also participate in trying out in their kitchens.

Now, if you have this left over cake and you are wondering what to do with it,just mash it up with your hands or any cutlery of your choice till it is very grainy.Get some good and thick ice cream and add gradually into the mashed cake while you mix with your hands.Please be sure to mix with your hands so that you will be in touch with the consistency.The mixture should be moist enough to mold put not mushy.Mold them into balls and keep in the fridge for a while(like two hours),so that it will be firmer.Dip the balls in melted chocolate or smear with butter cream or even chocolate icing. Sprinkle with colored sugar or dessicated coconut etc,and leave to set.You can but them back in the fridge(except the chocolate covered ones because they will sweat,but you can freeze them). Serve them whenever occasion demands.
